Antti Autti makes riding lines look easy. He has flow. Seeing him draw that single line down a mountain is a satisfying experience, but what we don’t see is the time and knowledge that go into each one of these five second clips. Days of waiting for weather to break. Expertise on snow conditions. Knowing when to turn to avoid a 100-foot cliff. Everything that must come together for these short, impressive moments on a snowboard is a testament to Antti’s dedication to his craft.

In the previous chapter of “Statements: Onsen Tour“, Antti told us a much different story. Now he’s ready to cut loose in the alpine of New Zealand, Iceland, and Sweden with his friends Levi Luggen and Hans Kestilä. Strap in, buckle up, do whatever you need to do. It’s a wild ride.

To snowboard in the mountains you have to study, not just ride. Understanding how wind affects them, how light changes, what temperature does, all are keys for good line riding. To surround yourself with people who share the passion for snow knowledge is a great way to move forward in this process.

With help from local operators, snowboarder Antti Autti, alongside with Levi Luggen & Hans Kestilä, go on a mission to ride big mountains of New Zealand to Swedish Lapland.
