CAPiTA has been strictly a snowboard brand for 17 years. Owned and operated by snowboarders, the hardworking crew has relied on their creativity, gut, and research since the early days to provide their cult-like following with trust-worthy snowboard products year after year — including the CAPiTA Defenders of Awesome.
On par with the exception artwork, successes, and determination that goes into the making of all their snowboards is the CAPiTA Defenders of Awesome. This award-winning board continues to impress riders since it was introduced to the slopes six years ago, and it’s because they continue to innovate every chance they get, especially with its shape.
The Hybrid Camber Profile design demonstrates positive camber in the middle of the board for pop and response, zero camber on the zones to the outside of the inserts for easy turn initiation, and reverse camber beneath the contact points on the nose and tail for turns so smooth you’ll turn off your music just to hear the sound the board makes as it floats against the snow.
As you might already know by now, there are many careful considerations that went into the shape of this board, and it truly defends the meaning of “awesome”, along with its recent improvements. New this year are newly formulated ABS Sidewalls and a Superdrive™ Base. The sintered Superdrive™ Base material allows for effortless glide and high abrasion resistance, while the ABS Sidewalls offer a dense and durable technology that binds the sidewall and core material seamlessly. Ultimately, this gives you a super smooth glide so you can really lay into your turns.
