The asymmetrical build is an interesting technology that Never Summer seamlessly fused into the Proto Type Two. With a definitive left foot and right foot mounting, you can enjoy the pleasures of a centered true twin shape, yet the definitive heel edge is shorter than the toe edge. This adds extra support and stability that our bodies naturally lack, due to the nature of holding a heel edge. You’ll notice initiating and holding your heelside turns will feel more natural and just as responsive as any toeside carve.
Mid to soft flexing boards tend to lose pop in a tradeoff for flexibility. Never Summer added carbon stringers on the tip and tail to counter that, leaving you with an insanely poppy mid flexing board.
