zeal-slate

Totally redesigned for 2013, Zeal Optics introduces the Slate. If you’re looking for a goggle that isn’t super flashy, looks good and fits extremely well, the Slate is where it’s at.

This year’s color scheme has been updated to reflect Zeal’s commitment to the environment. The subtle earth tones (Foundry Black, Foundry Fern, Upland Grass, Upland Wheat and Upland White) speak to the roots of what Zeal is all about, an eco-friendly approach to an industry we all love. But don’t worry, the colors aren’t earthy enough that your friends will think you just woke up in the woods after a bad trip, hippie.

On the technical side of things, Zeal pimps you out with the necessities: An anti-fog infused lens, an impact resistant frame, high density lens technology and 100% UV protection.

So what sets it apart you ask? How about the available Automatic Lens. You know, the lens with Photochromic technology that you never have to change when the weather turns. It will keep you dialed in all day long no matter where you shred. Talk about the fastest lens change ever… Plus, if you’re a tad blind (and we mean that in the nicest way possible) Zeal has you covered. The Slate is Over The Goggle (OTG) ready to give you the utmost comfort for when you want to sport your glasses on the hill.

Lastly, the Slate’s nose piece has been redesigned, enhancing comfort and fit. So when you’re winded from the short climb on your first trip to the top of Highlands Bowl in Aspen, you’ll be able to breathe with ease. After that, you’re on your own.

Price: $149 (also offered at $119 with Optimum lens)
