Mark Kelsic & Paul Heran Win The First Annual Am Throwdown

paul_mark.jpg

A congratulations are in order for Mark Kelsic & Paul Heran for winning Snowboard Magazine's first annual Am Throwdown presented by Vitamin Water. It's not often you see two stranger get together and combine their talents to win, well anything. It's as if Serena Williams had to play with another partner last minute only to go on and win the US Open Doubles Championship.

After Mark & Paul lost their partners due to last minute injuries, we decided to team them up. Who would have known that they would gel so well together. Both amazing at their respective talents, it's hard to find a vibe with a complete stranger, but they did it.

We want to thank all the teams who came out for finals week at Copper Mountain. We were so excited to see the final edits. They all surpassed our expectations for putting together a 1:30 edit, with music, in five days. It was one of the hardest decisions we have ever had to make. All the final edits could have won, but this isn't the "new" third grade where everyone wins, we had to pick a winner.

A huge thanks to Mark Kelsic, Paul Heran, Ricky Bates, Jameson Walter, Jacob Durham, Brandon Rhaodes, Joe Bosler & Scott Studach for making finals a week to remember. We also want to thank the Am Throwdown sponser: Vitamin Water, The House Boardshop, YESnowboard, Smith Optics, Woodward at Copper & Friendly Music.
