Dew Tour Jamie Anderson

Jamie Anderson Dew Tour

Despite having three bruised ribs from a heavy slam in practice on Tuesday, Olympic gold medalist Jamie Anderson added another win to her career this afternoon on the Dew Tour slopestyle course at Breckenridge.

A descending sun and temps in the 30s set the stage for a phenomenal day on the slopestyle course. A two-run format met the six ladies in the finals: Anderson, Enni Rukajarvi, Christy Prior, Spencer O’Brien, Sina Candrian, and Anna Gasser all came prepared to turn up the dial on women’s snowboarding progression. Gasser was trying to put down cab 900s on the first jump of the course, Rukajarvi couldn’t stick a backside 900, and Anderson was looking throw a 1080 as well.

What does this mean for the rest of the slopestyle season? The ladies are going to be putting down some heavy tricks. Gasser has stuck a cab double cork, Anderson is going to keep pushing herself and Prior’s insane style is a force to be reckoned with.

Jamie Anderson’s winning run: Backside lipslide, boardslide 270 out, backside 540, cab 720, switch boardslide 270 out, switch backside 540 and a huge frontside 720 on the bottom jump.

Enni Rukajarvi’s second place run: Frontside 5050, frontside boardslide to fakie, switch backside 180, frontside 720, boardslide, backside 540, and a cab 720 on the money booter.

Christy Prior’s third place run: Frontside lipslide, frontside boardslide, wildcat backflip, frontside 540 off the toes, switch boardslide 270 out, cab 540, backside 540 on the bottom jump.
