Yesterday, APO rider Sage Kotsenburg accepted an ESPY on the red carpet in Los Angeles for Best Male Olympian due to his gold medal performance in the 2014 Winter Olympics Slopestyle competition.

“Thank you all for voting and for all the support,” said Sage to fans. “I am so excited!”

Sage is considered a hero in snowboarding, bringing back to the sport his passion, style and influence. Since his gold medal run, Sage has been on a media road show and has been featured on Jimmy Fallon, Conan, David Letterman, and Rolling Stone Magazine to name a few.

“We are so proud of Sage for not only his gold medal performance in Sochi, but also the way he is representing APO and snowboarding,” said Cedric Le Cordroch, APO’s Global Marketing Manager. “Winning an ESPY is an honor and one that Sage is quite deserving of.”
