The lovely Oakley ladies hit Northstar-at-Tahoe last weekend for the fourth and final Progression Sessions. In its first season, the Progression Sessions are a series of two-day all-girls ski and snowboard camps. The camps, led by Oakley pro coaches and staff are designed to improve riding skills while motivating and giving confidence in the process. It may all sound a little "rah, rah" cheerleader-ish, but Oakley is doing something for women no other brand can match.

By inadvertently building brand loyalist, Oakley is giving women who may not have the courage to try new tricks, or simply don't know how, two days of group coaching in an intimate private park, with a handful of perks including gift bags, goggles and yoga sessions.

At Northstar, Gretchen Bleiler, Dominique Valleeand and Kristi Leskinen were on hand as guest coaches. There were almost 40 girls who signed up from across the U.S. to be a part of the session. On the first day, the girls were toured through Oakley's Rolling O Lab to get the inside details on how its goggles are made, then customized their own Elevate models. Afterwards there was a yoga stretch session led by Dominque to get the girls warmed up for the day.

Although the weather was stormy and windy, the girls got out there and by mid-afternoon were cheering each other on and learning tricks none of them thought they could do. On Saturday Oakley hosted après at TC's Pub in the Village where the girls got to know each other better and have some fun taking shots.

Sunday the skies cleared a bit and the girls were really able to hone in on learning new tricks on jumps and jibs. After the full day of riding there was an awards ceremony where the girls spoke out about what they had learned and what they had seen other girls do that had inspired them.

All-in-all Oakley did an amazing job at making the Progression Sessions a successful one. To find out more check out www.oakleyprogressionsessions.com and meet new friends on their Facebook page.
