Last Thursday, the community of Edwards, Colorado rallied together to support sisters Krissy Timlin, who lost her husband Joe in the Loveland avalanche and Megan Pischke who’s winning her fight against breast cancer.

A $20 donation at Sato’s door included free beer, sushi & a raffle ticket for each guest. The event included good people, live art snowboard paintings, a DJ, raffles, a live and silent auction that included everything from snowboard gear to massages at Allegria, there was even a signed guitar by a member of The Black Keys that went for close to a $1,000. Needless to say the event was a success.

Joe Timlin was the Rocky Mountain territory rep for NOW, YES, Jones, Karakoram and iFound. Joe was also known for being one of the nicest guys out there by anyone who crossed his path. Joe was a true ambassador for snowboarding.

Megan Pischke is an incredible woman who’s given back to snowboarding in immeasurable ways. Not only is Megs one of the first female snowboarders to turn heads with video parts, she’s a wife to DCP, a mother of two beautiful children, and has been an ambassador for Boarding For Breast Cancer since the foundation’s birth in 1996. Megs also created “ReTreat Yourself”, a wellness retreat that raises funds for women battling breast cancer.
