It’s official, the season has started. While Jackson and the PNW have been getting absolutely obliterated with snow, the first chair of the North American season began it’s ascent last week at Arapahoe Basin. While the conditions might not have been anywhere as deep as Oregon, or for that matter New England, which also saw its initial dump this past weekend, the lifts are turning and winter 16/17 is officially underway. If you are like most of us though, no matter the level of anticipation, we are hardly ever ready for the season. Thats why we have our Product Collection, for you to get lost in all things awesome this season, as well as this week’s installment of Provisions, a weekly curated selection of things we are really pumped on this year. Declan X Blotto Lens Cloth
When it comes to lens cloth material, few do it better than Declan. This oversized Declan cloth is the first ever artist collaboration series and features photography from one of our favorites, Dean Blotto Gray. We actually just did a series Those Days photos with him. You can check them out here. If you are out shooting in the snow, it is inevitable that your lenses will get wet, foggy, or dirty. Now you can wipe that shit up in both form and function.
BCA Float 42 Airbag Bag
If you don’t know, don’t go. While the BCA float 42 bag won’t replace proper avalanche training, or any of the regular backcountry gear, it is certainly an added level of protection. The Float 42 is the largest airbag pack made by BCA and is designed to fit all of the gear one might need on a long day trip or overnight backcountry outing. The 150 liter airbag is designed to not only create buoyancy, but to protect ya neck and head from trauma in the event of getting caught in an avalanche.
