Rain fell yesterday afternoon and temperatures dropped overnight, resulting in the entire mountain being coated in a sheet of ice. The clouds were moving in and out as snow fell for part of the day. This being the case, the riders held nothing back and everyone was pulling out their best tricks trying to take first place.

After the first run Jamie Anderson had secured the top spot, and then raised her score second run. All the women were throwing down trying to beat Jamie’s score, but in the end nobody was able to come close and Jamie Anderson took first place.

The sun peaked out for the men’s practice, but as the finals started the clouds thickened and snow started falling, giving most of the riders a difficult time on the first jump. However Ulrik Badertscher was able to set down his first run, with an impressive double front flip out of the cannon box, and take first place, which he held all the way into the third run.

ebastien Toutant struggled in his first two runs, but came through in the third with a score that beat out Ulrik, putting him into first place.

After landing their runs and impressing the judges Jamie Anderson and Sebastien Toutant became the 2012 Burton US Open Slopestyle Champions and the TTR Slopestyle World Champions.
