February 8, 2013 – Boulder, CO – ISPO awarded ZEAL Optics Ski Goggle of the Year and Design Excellence with a Sustainable Focus for 2013 on Monday, January 4th in Munich, Germany. The ZEAL HD Camera Goggle and the ZEAL Brewer were awarded the highest honor at the show for their unique and sustainable designs.

“We are honored to accept two ISPO gold awards for excellence in sustainable design and goggle of the year,” said ZEAL’s Director of Marketing Joe Prebich. “We are excited to show our brand to the world and continue to innovate products that push our industry forward.”

In October of 2012 ZEAL launched their sunglass and goggle lines internationally in Europe, Canada and Australia. As the brand continues to grow, ZEAL stays true to their Boulder roots while focusing on sustainability and innovation in every product they make.

“Our initiative in 2013 is to bring ZEAL global and there isn’t a greater achievement than to be recognized by the most respected individuals in our industry,” said ZEAL President John Sanchez. “These two awards are an indicator that regardless of the size of our company, we are making a big impact and achieving our main goal of enhancing outdoor experiences with an environmental focus.”

The HD Camera Goggle for next season has been upgraded to include the ability to shoot 12 MP photos, 120 frames per second at 1080HD, a temperature gauge and an updated graphic user interface. The line will also now include a lower price point model, without the in-goggle viewfinder for only $299.

The Brewer sunglass is made from Z-resin, ZEAL’s unique formula made from plant-based material, instead of crude oil. Inspired by the hardworking heritage of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, this frame is all about quality. Steeped in tradition, the Brewer was forged out of the need to provide a simple, no nonsense pair of shades for the everyday working man.
