With the olympics taking center stage in the world of snowboarding right now, Timbo took to the trenches to talk to some of the most progressive figures in snowboarding’s past to get their feelings on the current state of the sport. Enduring what can only be described as sub-par halfpipe conditions, the men’s Olympic Halfpipe finals went off under the bright lights of Sochi, with Swiss rider Iouri Podladtchikov dominating the competition and taking gold.

The stage has been set, the characters cast; you have your villains, the money-hoarding IOC and FIS committees, taking full advantage of our heroes, a soulful gaggle of snowboarders just trying to earn their craft the attention and respect it deserves. The slopestyle course proved highly dangerous; the halfpipe a slushy, sugary mess, complete with bump-ridden transfers. So, what now?
