Performance Review
First Impression. Its a versatile, intuitive feel that removes any second-guessing about where to take it on the mountain. It isn’t too much board, making it an approachable ride for most ability levels while still offering the performance that experts crave.

Edge Hold. It provides a reliable connection that stays consistent across groomers, bumps, and choppy conditions. It is a very solid, comfortable-feeling deck that allows for effortless carving in all snow types.
Edge Transition. Transitions are smooth and predictable. Because the board is so maneuverable and light underfoot, it feels easy to throw around. It isn’t a taxing board to ride, allowing for quick adjustments when dipping between groomer laps and technical terrain.
Drive // Pop. The return on energy with the pop is amazing. You get a lot of life out of this board without needing to muscle it.
Nimbleness & Predictability. This is a highly “trickable” board. It handles so well in the park that it could easily serve as a rider’s dedicated park deck. It’s very maneuverable for spinning on and off rails and presses remarkably well. Despite its slight directionality, switch riding feels nearly identical to riding forward.
Stability at Speed. While it might not be the beefiest board, it holds up great on large jumps and in the superpipe without feeling cumbersome. It remains composed through slush and chop, handling high-heat scenarios with ease.
Fun Factor. The Mercury crushes everything you throw at it. Whether it’s side hits, butters, or swapping back and forth from regular to switch, the fun factor is consistently high.
The Deep Dive
Overall Impression The Capita Mercury is a true “do-it-all” machine. It’s a solid, comfortable-feeling board that handles park, street, groomers, powder, and big mountain terrain with equal competence. It rides powder fine without being a dedicated powder shape, making it the ideal choice for a typical resort day where conditions are constantly shifting.
Who is this board for? The rider looking for total versatility. It is suitable for everyone from an early intermediate looking to progress, all the way up to an expert rider.
