First Impression. The Forum Roost is a “tank” that just wants to bomb down the mountain. The sheer velocity of this board is its most impressive trait.

Edge Hold. The weight distribution and sidecut geometry make it feel incredibly locked-in and powerful. The long effective edge provides immense confidence on sketchy terrain and the dampening is top-tier. It soaks up chatter so well that it actually encourages you to go even faster.

Edge Transition. Transitions are fast and purposeful. The board feels amazing during heel-side hand drags. However, deep toe-side carves at high speed require a slightly more calculated approach than the heel side.

Drive // Pop. Because of its extreme stiffness, initiating pop is a challenge. It takes a lot of strength to engage the “spring” of the board, but for riders capable of loading it up, it can kick you quite high. It is a demanding board that requires an expert’s touch to unlock its energy.

Nimbleness & Predictability. The Roost’s stiffness makes it a bit difficult on rails but is surprisingly capable riding switch. With only 5mm of taper, you can ride it switch easily as long as you center your stance.

Stability at Speed. It feels better the faster you go. It provides a level of security at high speeds that is rare, making it a reliable choice for charging from the top of the mountain through variable conditions.

Fun Factor. The fun factor is tied directly to speed and airtime. It’s a blast for larger jumps and the pipe, where the stiff nose and tail stomp landings.

Overall Impression The Roost is a powerful, high-velocity all-mountain charger built for the advanced rider. It thrives on steeps, firm pack, and massive freestyle features. While it feels limiting in the jib line due to its rigid flex, it is a certified tank for everything else.

Who is this board for? Strong riders who want to go fast and need a stable platform for big jumps and hard charging.
