First Impression. I was immediately drawn to the aesthetic of the Sims Fluid; it’s a beautiful board that creates instant excitement. On the snow, that visual appeal translates into a fun, approachable board that is designed for a more relaxed riding style rather than high-intensity charging.

Edge Hold. The edge hold is reliable at cruising speeds. When you keep the pace mellow, the board allows for smooth, drawn-out, and satisfying turns. However, because the flex is on the softer side, you have to be more active with your legs to maintain a clean line if the terrain gets bumpy.

Edge Transition. Riding switch was a highlight of this board. It feels balanced and predictable when flipped around, making it great for riders who are working on their multi-directional skills or just like to play around on the flats.

Drive // Pop. The board offers a mellow, consistent exit. It has enough pop to feel lively, but it doesn’t “rocket” you into the next turn. It’s more about maintaining a steady, comfortable flow down the mountain.

Nimbleness & Predictability. In the park, the Fluid feels playful and stable. It’s easy to maneuver onto rails and features, and it behaves predictably on medium-sized jumps. However, that predictability fades slightly in the pipe, where edge-to-edge transitions felt a bit less precise.

Stability at Speed. High speed is not this board’s natural habitat. The softer flex makes it harder to control when you really point it, and you’ll feel more of the mountain’s feedback through your feet. It is much more at home in 2nd gear.

Fun Factor. It’s a great board for a low-pressure day of exploring. While it might not have the high-performance thrills of a stiffer deck, its approachable nature makes it an enjoyable ride.

Overall Impression. A stylish, user-friendly deck that makes the whole mountain feel accessible. If your goal is to have a comfortable, “surf-the-mountain” kind of day, the Fluid is a great choice.

Who is this board for? It’s perfect for someone who wants to cruise comfortably and explore the park and groomers at a relaxed pace.

Who is it NOT for? Aggressive chargers, high-speed carvers, or dedicated pipe riders who need a stiff, precise tool for vertical transitions.
