Burton Snowboards and Channel Island Surfboards added one more to the ever growing list of flagship stores as they celebrated the Los Angeles grand opening on November 28, 2007. By now you have most likely read the press release that was posted here on the website. The grand opening celebration had a huge turnout and everyone seemed stoked with what they saw upon entering the building.

The complete Burton line including The White Collection, Ronin, AK and Analog is nicely displayed throughout the store.

You can be completely decked out in the Andy Warhol Collection which includes snowboards, bindings, boots, outerwear, layering and travel bags.

This selection comes with a set of dice for all you hustlers out there. Make money, make money, money, money!

Any girl that wanders into this room will come out dressed head to toe in Burton gear…wait…are those purses I see on the far right corner?

Hannah Teter mentioned that she has spent a part of her summer surfing in Costa Rica.

Keep a close eye on Elena Hight this coming season.

Sometimes its the details that count. The snowboard display forms a quarter pipe on each end or a half pipe with a super long flat bottom. Whichever way you want to see it.

Skate shop.

And as an added bonus…Burton designed the store for you to skate in it. They have rails set up in the shop and they can be easily switched out with different sizes.

By nighttime, as you can see, it had snowed some more. Just in time for the festivities. Snow, Skate and Surf industry peeps packed the house, whether you were inside or up on the roof it was a full house. The vibes were high and positive. Burton made sure that no one would be left thirsty nor hungry. A bar was set up in just about every corner. They had food to satisfy every single taste bud. From wraps to mini cheese burgers, BBQ chicken skews & BBQ brisket rolls to lobster rolls, and why stop there. Sushi anyone? That’s right…sushi bar in full effect. And for those with a sweet tooth, they had mini Ben & Jerry’s ice cream cups. But wait, there’s more…ok, I’ll stop here before it begins to sound like an infomercial.

Crowd on the roof.

Everyone on the rooftop enjoyed the clear skies, the view and a great set by Trouble Andrew. During Trouble Andrew’s live set, pro snowboarders Shaun White and Jeremy Jones sessioned the newly built mini ramp with pro skateboarders Arto Saari, Omar Salazar, Stefan Janoski and Dylan Rieder.

Ok, the following pictures are not artsy, they are blurry (there is a difference between the two), but I figured I’d share them.

This building is about a block away from the Burton store. It has nothing to do with the post but I have to admit that it is pretty creative.
