Every season Jones Snowboards awards a special grant to a brand ambassador for them to pursue a special backcountry expedition. The 2016 winner of the Jones Adventure Grant went to Wyoming rider Halina Boyd for a splitboard trip to Gannett Peak, Wyoming’s tallest peak, coming in at a staggering 13,809 feet. Follow along with Halina, fellow Jones riders Jimmy Goodman and Brendan Burns, as well as videographer Aharon Bram and photographer Chris Figenshau for this Wyoming summer backcountry expedition.

More from Jones Snowboards:

In June 2016, Jackson Hole snowboarder Halina Boyd and a crew of Jones ambassadors launched into Wyoming’s Wind River Range to attempt to ride off the summit of Gannett Peak, Wyoming’s tallest summit. Presented with a healthy balance of suffering and success, the crew brought back an amazing story and awesome views of a stunning, but seriously challenging range. See Halina, Jimmy Goodman and Brendan Burns ride off the roof of Wyoming in this new video produced by Aharon Bram.

Expedition made possible by the Jones Adventure Grant and supported by Flylow, Honey Stinger, Backpacker’s Pantry and Big Agnes.
