Singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, and humanitarian Dolly Parton passed away Tuesday after a brief battle with cancer, leaving behind a life full of accomplishments that could be its own library. A small footnote in the shelves full of charitable donations, and an actual library that sent over 300 million books to children across the U.S., would be her impactful presence in snowboarding lore. She has played on repeat across snowboarders’ TVs around the world via @mackdawgproductions “Follow Me Around” soundtrack since its release in 2006. Directed by Brad Kremer, “Jolene” hits hard as Jeremy Jones, DCP, Tadashi Fuse and Jussi Oksanen ride to the famous Stuck In Chile section of the cult classic. We can’t pay our respects with any turns currently in the Northern Hemisphere for the country music icon, but it would be very fitting for everyone currently scoring in Chile to lay down a turn for Dolly. Our thanks go out to Dolly for the countless hours of enjoyable rewatching and our condolences go out to everyone that she touched during her life.
