With 30 of 2013’s top films duking it out for ‘Golden Reel’ status, The Reels is going off October 4-6, in Annecy, France. THE REELS what is it ?
Drawing inspiration from the likes of The Cannes Film Festival, and The Sundance Film Festival, The Reels will gather together athletes, directors, producers, industry bigwigs, and fans to premiere snowboarding films. ‘The Reels’- a snowboarding film festival in Annecy, France, that elevates and celebrates the sport as art.

Golden Reels Ceremony
The films will be awarded 11 ‘Golden Reel,’ as decided by a judging panel boasting five legends of the riding world- Peter Line, Nico Droz, David Benedek, Ingemar Backman, and Eddie Wall. The Ceremony will be hosted by Danny Kass and the Dingo. It will take place in room 1 of the Decavi- sion theater on Friday October 4th at 8:45pm. YOU can attend for FREE.
Snowboarding initiation for the kids
Burton snowboards brings a new concept called «Riglet Park» at the Reels. It’s a fun park where kids from 3 to 6 could practice snowboarding safely. Either with a member of the Burton Snow- boards Team or with a parent, the kid will slide on different features teaching him balance and providing him with new sensations.
NIGHTS
The REELS wants to be a real festival. The night life is promising with head liners like DJ Jazzy Jeff. The Opening and Closing party will take place at the Pop Plage with no less than 7 artists.
