As much as the riders in men’s halfpipe were facing off against one another at X Games, they were battling it out with the weather, as pelting snow made for low speed and lower visibility. Considering how hard it was snowing, the heights reached by Valentino Guseli, the Hirano brothers, Yuto Totsuka, and the rest of the field were very impressive. When it came down to taking the win, it was Scotty James who added a fifth X Games Aspen gold medal to his collection.
