The Albanian Alps are some of the most remote, unexplored mountains in the world. Only a small number of hardy alpine shepherds call those peaks home. And even they don’t live there all year long. Before winter arrives they make their way down to the valley, deserting mountains dotted with Cold War-era bunkers.

When a snowboarder lays eyes on the Albanian Alps, it is not difficult to imagine the endless possibilities—the maiden lines that abound. Now Teton Gravity Research has documented such an Albanian exploration in its forthcoming film Far Out, featuring some of our favorite backcountry riders like Jeremy Jones and Robin Van Gyn.

Of course, TGR didn’t stop with Albania. The crew also shredded Russia, Slovenia, Alaska, Brittish Columbia, Montana and Wyoming. Check out the trailer ahead of its September premiere.
