“Snowboarding: It was better when you hated us” is a Bluebird Wax mantra championed by old-school riders and today’s aspiring misfits. For it is a nod to the glory days when snowboarding culture sat happily on the fringes. But like many things that sprout from renegade seeds, snowboarding would eventually draw the interest of society’s upper-crust, from celebrities to investment bankers obsessed with commandeering the next big thing. As its popularity has ebbed, flowed and taken on gargantuan global appeal, a part of snowboarding’s soul has diminished if not disappeared.

The crew delivers no-frills, boundary-pushing delights that hearken back to simpler, certainly rowdier times (read: naked times).
