The SOCAM UltiMate Action Camera has officially made its debut, the latest drop from European electronic retailer, Conrad Electronic SE. The camera boasts a 330 degree rotatable lens, meaning you can adjust your viewing orientation as filming demands. The SOCAM is built out with gyro-image stabilization tech, and multiple filming modes, from slow motion to time lapse, photo burst to video loop. Built in wi-fi makes it easy for you to link the camera up to your smart phone, or even control your filming remotely. A variety of cases and mounts are available to help ensure you capture exactly what you want to, no matter the conditions.

Hirschau, Germany, February 19, 2014 – Europe’s leading electronics retailer, innovation and technology expert, Conrad Electronic SE, has announced the release of its new breakthrough action camera, the SOCAM UltiMate.

Combining state-of-the-art technology with social capabilities, the Ultimate’s unique design is set to revolutionize the consumer video experience. The camera will be available at beginning, April 2014.

The UltiMate is the first action camera with a 330 degree rotatable lens, for enhanced imaging flexibility, allowing users to adjust viewing orientation when filming professional quality photos and video in 1080p stunning, razor-sharp high definition.

The action camera’s user-friendly, two-button design was engineered by the Conrad Group, Europe’s leading multi-channel supplier of electronic goods; with over 90 years’ experience in developing and manufacturing electronics. The UltiMate comes equipped with gyro-image stabilization technology as well as all professional camera modes including slow motion (WVGA 120 fps), time lapse, photo burst (16MP 10fps), video loop and simultaneous photo capabilities while recording video.

SOCAM stands for ‘social-camera’, as it has built-in WiFi functionality for seamless smartphone integration and remote control access. Through the SOCAM UltiMate companion App, users can capture and instantly upload their adventures and extreme moments to their favourite social platforms.
