K2 Snowboarding is pleased to announce the addition of Lucas Debari to its international professional snowboard team.

As one of the respected riders in the industry, Lucas Debari brings his aggressive style and grass roots mentality to a team that simply loves snowboarding and everything it encompasses. Gold duct tape, Transworld Snowboarding rookie of the year and multiple Absinthe openers, Lucas Debari at the age of 24 has accomplished more than most ans he’s only getting started.

In 2012 Lucas earned the opening part in Absinthe’s Resonance, filmed a substantial segment in Jeremy Jones’ Further and placed top five at the Red Bull’s Supernatural. Additionally, Debari will compete in X-Games Real Snow Backcountry and film his own web series entitled GO!.

“For me personally, the most enticing part of joining the K2 team is the undeniable history they have of supporting Snowboarding in the northwest. From Dan Donnelly to Aaron Robinson, K2 has been working with people who have a relentless passion for our sport and I hope to continue that trend,” said Lucas.

K2 Snowboarding Team Manager, Peter Mullenbach, commented, “Signing Lucas Debari on with K2 is a major accomplishment for so many reasons. He’s the epitome of the modern day Mt. Baker Hard Core and his passion for snowboarding along with his product intelligence will undoubtedly strengthen an already amazing program here at K2. We couldn’t be happier.”

Lucas continued, “What I am most looking forward to is having the ability to work with the engineers designig the products I use. The people who work there have been very receptive to my input so far and I think together we can continue to develop the best line in snowboarding.”
