Kyle Kennedy named Publisher of Snowboard Magazine
Kennedy brings to the staff more than two decades of industry experience, having served as the Director of Sales at Academy Snowboards, co-founding kidsKNOW distribution with Mike LeBlanc, and most recently acting as the National Sales Manager for Snowboarder magazine where he fortified his relationships with core brands within the industry.
“Kyle brings a wealth of sales and marketing knowledge to our crew,” says Editor-in-Chief Susie Floros. “His connections in the industry run deep, and his motivation and love of the sport is inspiring. I have no doubt that Kyle’s going to help us continue to take SNOWBOARD to the next level.”
In his role, Kennedy will be responsible for all strategy related to sales, marketing, partnerships and branding. Kennedy will manage the media-sales team, oversee all aspects of revenue generation for the SNOWBOARD brand, and play a strategic role in the editorial direction of the media products.
“I’ve been a fan of SNOWBOARD mag since its inception a decade ago,” says Kennedy. “For years the magazine has shaken-up the industry with its iconic covers, beautiful product photography, premium paper, design and amazing stories. The fact that there is no sacrifice to superior production quality in print is a huge thing in my book. I’m excited to be a part of the SNOWBOARD mag crew and to produce amazing content.”
Kennedy will join Photo Editor Tim Peare, Senior Editor Nate Deschenes and Art Director John Alvino in California. The rest of the team, including Editor-in-Chief Susie Floros, Online Editor Kelli Hargrove and Digital Manager Jon Glass – will remain headquartered in the Boulder offices, providing the magazine with a broad reach from SoCal to the Colorado mountains.
