Enter to win Vimeo’s Weekend Challenge: #HelmetsAreCool

The High Fives Foundation has teamed up with Vimeo to help raise attention and awareness for their #HelmetsAreCool campaign, which focuses on helmet safety and helps to raise funds for athletes who have suffered life-altering injuries through winter action sports. For Vimeo’s ‘Weekend Challenge,’ users are invited to create videos around the #HelmetsAreCool tagline, with the chance to win a free Vimeo Plus account for one year, plus another mystery prize from The High Fives Foundation.

Check out more details on the contest, and High Fives, here:

Hey there, tenderhearted troublemakers,

This weekend, we’d like to give some attention to the pretty cool people from the High Fives Foundation. Founded by Roy Tuscany, this Tahoe based organization raises money and awareness for athletes who have suffered a life-altering injury while pursuing their dream in the winter action sports community.

The documentary #HelmetsAreCool focuses on helmet usage and safety while highlighting four different athletes, including High Fives Athlete Danny Toumarkine’s recovery from a Traumatic Brain Injury he suffered while snowboarding without a helmet:

This is where you come in! Help spread the word that #HelmetsAreCool! All you’ve got to do is make a video using that as your guiding star.

Helmets are great for all kinds of things, so get creative! Be it a toddler on a trike or a pro athlete on the snowy slopes, helmets are necessary, and we’re asking you to help tell us that story. Check out this helmet that Bobby Miller made; it will “solve all your problems”:
