Kimmy Fasani always looks ill when she’s decked out, pretty much head to toe, in DC gear, especially when she throws her double backflips and double back rodeos. She’s got her DC Biddy that she rides when she prefers to get her backcountry snowboarding on while she transports through the white playground with her Ski Doo Summit 800. "The DC Biddy 151 snowboard is playful and responsive. I find that I float through powder and if it's really deep I just lean back a little bit more and the board powers through the snow,” says Kimmy. When she throws down at Mammoth, one of her favorite places to hit the park, she prefers her DC Ply snowboard, which has pop and responsiveness in all the right places.
Surrounding her feet are her Burton Escapade bindings and DC Double Boa Mora boots. On her boots, Kimmy mentions, “The DC Mora Boot is my go-to for snowboarding because it's a reliable boot that has the freedom to be tight in the right places. This boot gives me the support I need to land deep,” which was very important when Kimmy took 3rd in the Roxy Powder Jam.
For optics Kimmy relies on Zeal Optics' Link Goggles for clarity and eye protection. She’s currently working with Zeal to improve the already amazing technology and design that Zeal offers. “It's been fun to be hands on during the revamp/design process. We are developing new goggles that fit the outdoor active lifestyle for people entertained by snow-sports,” mentions Kimmy.
To keep warm, Kimmy wears the DC Women’s Galena Thermal Shirt and DC Women’s Seema Thermal Pant under her DC Lysin jacket and DC Martock pant. To keep her hands toasty and dry while she snacks on her Clif Bars and Mimi’s Cookie Bars, she wears the DC Women's Warner Snowboard glove. On her favorite snack of choice, Kimmy explains, “Clif Bar is an amazing sponsor of mine. I slip a couple bars in my bag each day and a pack of Clif Shot Bloks in my pocket. When I start losing energy after building a jump or a long hike I can pull these lifesavers out and immediately feel rejuvenated.” Delicious and purposeful.
