The BYND x MDLS boys hit Iceland right. Weather, particularly winter weather in this northern country is anything but predictable despite its proximity to the Arctic Circle. This is largely due to the presence of the North Atlantic Current that brings warm water from the Gulf of Mexico towards the Pole, thus keeping winters relatively mild. But Iceland still gets snow. As you can see in the opening clip of series icons Tor Lundstrom and Kevin Backstrom, it was full on blizzard conditions and dumping plenty of the stuff to work with in the streets. Between the hammers and a soundtrack that gets us psyched to ride, the latest BYND x MDLS is damn sick.

Kevin Backstrom and Tor Lundstrom are back with their new BYND x MDLS edit, this time from the streets of Iceland. With no sign of snow in the forecast for Scandanavia, things were looking bleak for the guys December street plans. Diggles (BYND MDLS filmer and editor) had been to Iceland the last two years, and had all but written it off as a destination because they felt that the Helgason’s home town of Akureyri didn’t have much more to offer.

But when they heard it had snowed three feet in the capital city of Reykjavik, they knew they had to send it.
