Part of what makes snowboarding great is that it can mean something to different to everyone who enjoys sliding sideways on slippery surfaces. To veteran Finnish freestyle destroyers, Eero Ettala and Heiki Sorsa, the stylistic element is the most important. Watch as they explain why and demonstrate their high consequence brand of ‘art,’ as Eero calls it, in this compilation of new and archived footage. With urban terrain, the feature and execution of tricks come out of the mind’s eye of the snowboarder. If snowboarders are artists, as Eero Ettala claims in this clip from “Snowboarding: For Me,” he and Heikki Sorsa are among the masters. Whether on the streets of Finland or in the park, the duo has a style that is very much their own.
