First Impression. The Horizon is a surprisingly fast and fun ride that excels at moving from edge to edge. On a run down the Cornice, it held its own through the steep sections, laying over quickly and locking in nicely.

Edge Hold. This board is a blast on low-angle carving and fresh groomers. It retains speed exceptionally well on the flats with zero “suction” feeling, making it a reliable choice for resort laps.

Edge Transition. At cruising speeds, the transition is remarkably quick. It’s built for the flow of a clean carve rather than the fight of a technical descent.

Drive // Pop. At medium speeds, the Horizon has the perfect flex to pop in and out of turns and prioritizes a rhythmic, flowy drive. It has good energy for side hits and the mini-pipe, but I’d like to see a bit more stiffness in the tail for hitting large jumps in Main Park.

Nimbleness & Predictability. Surprisingly, this board is a standout on rails. It locks in perfectly between the feet making jibbing feel effortless. For a directional board, landing switch is remarkably easy adding a layer of freestyle versatility that you might not expect at first glance.

Stability at Speed. The stability is a tale of two speeds. It feels amazing for cruising, but the slightly softer nose can create chatter straight-lining at high velocity.

Fun Factor. The Horizon is the ultimate “Dad cruiser.” It is perfect for hitting the mini-pipe, throwing surfy sprays, and playing on rails.

Overall Impression It’s a versatile deck that is surprisingly at home in the park but lives for the perfect groomer turn. I also really appreciated the “deep days” inserts and the aesthetic of the matte topsheet.

Who is this board for? The Horizon is a sophisticated cruiser built for the experienced rider who has moved past the “charge at all costs” phase and now wants to enjoy the mountain all day, hit a few side-hits, and maybe lap the park.
