If you’re an absolute park ripper, the Sensor Junior will take whatever you can dish out. Positive camber between the feet loads energy for blasting off of lips, up onto rails, and for stability on landings, but a slight bit of early rise just outside of the bindings makes the Sensor Junior press easily, and also makes it a bit more versatile on those powder days. – Basher.
Editor’s note: It look’s like our Gear Editor is training his children to be future snowboard testers out in NY with all the work they are putting in on the latest round of childrens’ boards!

“I like the Sensor Youth because it is really easy to maneuver while hitting jumps and rails. I also like the side kick feature for park so you’re less likely to catch an edge on a rail and you can land on your edge harder on a jump.” – Gunner, NY ripper.
“The Sensor rips on the jumps! I feel really confident landing on it.” – Hudson, our gear editor’s 13-year-old son.

From Nidecker:
Aimed at 11-14 year-olds, the Sensor Youth gives park kids the platform to drag freestyle snowboarding into the future. Its true twin shape is ideal for switch takeoffs and landings, but with plenty of volume in the nose and tail they can start sending it in the pow too. A CamRock profile with 3D SideKick tips raises the edges to encourage rapid trick learning and all-mountain creativity. Sit back and enjoy the show.
- The Sensor Youth’s Master Core blends two woods (poplar and paulownia) for a park-friendly strength to weight ratio.
- SideKick tips make you way less likely to hang up on rails and sketchy landings, accelerating progression.
- The base is made from super dense material that can withstand daily abuse on park features; it’s lightning quick, too.
