Smith Snowboard Goggles

Purchase the Smith Blazer and Smith Rally goggles at evo.com.

I have said it for the past few seasons and I will continue to say it until someone proves me otherwise: Smith’s goggles are by far my favorite on the market right now. They feel great and I can see through them, but most importantly, they are reliable. They don’t fog up, no matter the conditions or how hot I am while riding, sledding, or hiking. After I fall and cake them in snow, they always seem to come out unscathed.

Honestly, I was afraid to take off the Squad MAGs this year to test other pairs, but the Blazer put my eyes at ease immediately and I quickly fell in love with the frames. As more affordable options on the market, the Blazer, along with smaller-frame counterpart the Rally, are just as dependable as the pricier alternatives.

I was impressed with the fit, and just like my experience with the rest of the Smith line, there was no fog. Both the Blazer and the Rally come with Smith’s Airflow ventilation and Fog-X inner lens. The slimmer frames don’t sacrifice any of the comforts (or field of view) of the bigger models, and the ultra-wide strap keeps them snug on both hat and helmet.

Smith’s two new offerings have a retro look that our whole staff was stoked on, and the full-frame cylindrical design comes in plenty of color options so everyone can pick a favorite. The Blazer and Rally are simple, solid goggles that can go toe-to-toe with pairs way out of their price range and take up less room in your pocket when enjoying a nice après after riding. There’s also a kids’ version, the Snowdays, that only costs fifty dollars. Scratch the Platinum Pick, mark these down as double platinum. – Mark Clavin
