Due to a historically bad snowfall year up on Mt. Hood, the summer camp is having to adapt. By the looks of the new offering, the sessions later in the summer will focus on the dryslope, airbag, and trampolines. But fear not, there will still be plenty of fun activities for campers to participate in and make it worth their while!
From the site (Click here for more info from High Cascade):
“For summer 2026, Sessions 5-8 will run in an updated format built for progression, with a full week centered around Dryslope, airbags, and trampolines on our private campus. With Timberline’s summer terrain park scheduled to close before these sessions begin, campers will spend the week stacking reps on our dryslope rail hills, progressing on airbags including our NEW (2025) Banger Landing Bag, and building confidence, control, and style on trampolines. Add in two Activity Days, all the fun of camp, and Signature Session™ energy in Session 5 with Shaun White and Session 6 with Mark McMorris, and these weeks still deliver an incredible High Cascade experience.”
From Instagram:
As you may know, we have been notified by Timberline that, due to limited snowfall from this past winter, summer operations will end earlier than originally planned. The revised closing date is July 11 for FTC and July 17 for regular operations, impacting Sessions 4, 5, and 6.
While this news is deeply disappointing for our campers, families, staff, and the entire mountain community, we respect the need to preserve the remaining snowpack and support the long-term sustainability of summer operations on Mt. Hood.
At the same time, we’re excited to introduce new ways for campers to ride, progress, and make the most of summer at High Cascade.
Session Zero
A new Session 0 will run June 14–20, giving campers an additional opportunity to join us early this summer. Registration opens April 18.
New Hybrid Session
Session 4 is now being offered as a Hybrid Session, combining time on snow with an expanded focus on the Dryslope Rail Garden, Banger Landing Bag, Activities and Trampolines. This session will run July 12–18.
New Dryslope Sessions
For campers looking to keep progressing, we’re introducing new Dryslope Sessions with a strong focus on the Banger Landing Bag, Dryslope Rail Garden, and Activities, Trampolines, & more. These will be offered during Sessions 5–8.
Families impacted by this update have already been contacted directly by our team. We encourage those affected to check their email for important details, including available options and next steps. We’re committed to supporting our campers and families through this process and sincerely appreciate the patience, understanding, and continued support ❤️
