DC Shoes Announces Bobby Meeks as Snow Marketing Director

Huntington Beach, Calif. – January 31, 2015 – DC Shoes announced today Bobby Meeks has been named their new Snow Marketing Director. Meeks will lead the brand’s Snow category, directing the team, campaigns, events and overall marketing strategy.

“We’re super stoked to have Bobby on board to lead the DC Snowboarding program,” said Jeff Taylor, Senior Vice President of Global Brand and Marketing, DC Shoes. “His passion for the sport is undeniable and his background as both an athlete and a marketer will be a huge asset to the brand.”

“I’ve always admired DC’s commitment to snowboarding, and I’m excited to be a part of such a respected and authentic brand,” said Meeks.

Meeks was previously the North America Brand Manager for Nike Snowboarding, where he successfully managed and balanced an authentic category voice toward both core and mainstream consumers. He was a key contributor to Nike’s long-term vision and strategies in their snowboarding category, executing seasonal marketing campaigns and initiatives around the brand, athletes and product. In his time at Nike, Meeks created, managed and executed progressive event concepts, including Snakes & Hammers, a popular banked slopestyle contest.

Prior to his position at Nike, Meeks was a professional snowboarder from 1994-2005, known for his stand out video parts.
