CMH announced today that slopestyle superstar Mark McMorris will join the world’s largest heli operator as a trip ambassador at CMH Galena, March 28-April 4, 2015.
The Olympian and 10 time X Games medallist will ride with CMH Galena guests for a few powder-perfect turns in the Selkirk tenure, an area known for its deep powder, epic pillows and steep tree skiing.
“CMH Galena is known for its incredible tree skiing and epic terrain making it an ideal draw for riders and skiers, including the world’s snowboarding elite,” begins Joe Flannery, President of CMH. “We are pleased to unveil our latest ambassador trip and are honoured to have such an immense young talent join us this season.”
Saskatchewan native and Burton team rider McMorris, who catapulted into snowboarding fame when he successfully landed a backside 1440 triple cork, staked his claim with X Games Slopestyle silver and an Air and Style win in 2011. With double X Games Big Air and Slopestyle gold, Burton US Open and Dew Tour wins, 2014 showed the world what McMorris is made of. After winning silver at the X Games despite a harsh rail crash, McMorris scored bronze at Sochi-ripping the slopestyle course with a cracked rib.
