In anticipation of their headline performances at X Games Austin 2015, June 4-7, The Glitch Mob created a remix of Metallica’s “Lords of Summer,” which will be integrated into the ESPN and ABC telecasts and the group’s Sunday performance at Circuit of The Americas.

“Metallica is one of the greatest, heaviest, and most significant bands of all time,” said The Glitch Mob. “They defined heavy music as we know it today. Our mission has always been to bring that same raw energy into our own electronic music. It was a true honor to remix Metallica: to collaborate with our heroes.”

The Glitch Mob, currently one of the most popular electronic acts, is a Los Angeles-based trio of Justin Boreta, Ed Ma and Joshua Mayer. In 2014, the group released their sophomore album, Love Death Immortality, at number one on the Billboard Dance/Electronic songs chart. They followed with the 2015 release of Love Death Immortality Remixes.
