Burton 3D Deep Daze Powder Snowboard

If the Stormtroopers had a few of these in their quiver, they would’ve been able to conquer Hoth. Unfortunately, Luke and Leia had the better toys. The Burton 3D Deep Daze begs to imagine what we may be overlooking in what a snowboard could be. On hardpack, the Deep Daze is your typical wide-bodied, slightly tapered, setback-stance, medium- flexing freeride board. It rails turns on piste with the best of ‘em. But, charge into a powder field, and it’ll come to life surfing snow— floating, tracking straight when you want to, and transitioning the smoothest, most energy- efficient turns you’ve likely ever made.

The channels in the 3D Deep Daze help direct soft snow beneath the board based both on the board’s angle of attack to the snow’s surface, as well as how the board is banked. This makes it track right where you point it, whether you’re flat-based or on edge, so you’re much less likely to wash out or lose speed when you don’t want to. Don’t worry, though, it’ll still chuck buckets of snow off the tail when you’re looking to break out a good slash.
