Keep the party rockin’ with House of Marley’s Bag of Rhythm

We first saw House of Marley's Bag of Rhythm on display at the 2012 SIA Snow Show in Denver, and from the moment we hit the play button we were sold. The crisp, clear sound of Mr. Bob Marley himself boomed from its dual 4-inch speakers, and although we were tired and stressed after an ultra long day of parading around the trade show floor, suddenly we knew "every little thing was gonna be alright."

Cheesy puns aside, this portable sound system is the real deal. We recently had a chance to take a closer look at the bag and its features:

Appropriately named the Bag of Rhythm, this product literally lives in a bag—a carry bag, that is. The adjustable straps make it easy to bring the Bag of Rhythm with you anywhere you want to go. Not near a power source? Don't fret. It runs on six D-cell batteries which provide a decent amount of life. It's ideal for trips to the beach, the park, the pool, wherever the party is. If you plan to be out and about for most of the day, it's not a bad idea to bring an extra set of batteries along with you—they'll fit neatly in the snap-close pouch that's attached to the bag.

The Bag of Rhythm charges your iOS device while it's docked—which is nice—and thanks to an auxiliary input and included cable, you can rock via your laptop or a plethora of other devices.

And we can't reiterate the quality of the sound enough. Complete with twin 4.5-inch high-definition woofers and a powerful 32W amp, the Bag of Rhythm projects clear highs and lows, and thunderous bass. And with 32W of power behind it you know it's mighty loud for its size.

Plus, this thing looks sleek as hell. Built with birch wood and durable canvas, the skateboard-like design turns heads left and right. Sling it over your shoulder (it weighs 10 pounds, so it's not the lightest thing in the world), carry it like a briefcase via its handles, lay it on its side to direct music in one direction, or on its back to blare music upwards.

And to top it all off, it's built with a recyclable plastic housing and comes in recycled packaging so you know you're doing your part to keep Mother Earth smiling.

The Bag of Rhythm retails for $349.99. The design showcased here is Harvest color, Model EM-JA000-HA.
