Sony, a worldwide leader in digital imaging, proudly welcomes snowboarder Amy Purdy to Team Action Cam. Purdy is a top ranked adaptive snowboarder, a three-time World Cup Para-Snowboard winner and the 2014 Paralympic bronze medalist. She is the only double-leg amputee competing at the elite world-class level.
Amy‘s story is nothing short of extraordinary.“I’m thrilled to join Sony and Team Action Cam,” said Purdy. “It’s an honor to be associated with this great collection of champion athletes across all of these sports that I love. My own success on the snow has brought with it all kinds of amazing experiences so having access to the very best, state-of-the-art video equipment to capture and share these adventures is something I’m really looking forward to. And Sony has mastered the art of making it easy to do.”
Purdy joins Team Action Cam’s deep roster of action sports legends and today’s innovators including Tony Hawk, Ricky Carmichael, Robbie Maddison, Danny Davis, Torah Bright, Nick Goepper, Angel Collinson, Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, Nigel Sylvester and others.
“We are thrilled to have Amy Purdy as part of Team Action Cam,” said Jeff Hiatt, director of the Action Cam business at Sony Electronics. “She is a world-class athlete with an incredible story to share, and we look forward to a great partnership together filled with exciting content. Whether Amy’s on a snowboard, a dance floor or a podium delivering a motivational speech, there’s no better camera than Sony Action Cam to capture her life adventures.”
