Mt. Baker locals and full-on rippers Zoë Vernon and Jacqui Shaffer have been friends for fifteen years. They’re connected by a love of powder turns, a drive to explore the technical terrain of their home mountain, and an uncommon work ethic that has taken both women up to Alaska for the past ten years to work on commercial fishing boats. Fishing in Alaska is one of the most demanding occupations out there, but weather the long days, tumultuous seas, and hazards of the job and you have a seasonal balance that helps you to spend the winter in the snow. This past summer, Jacqui and Zoë worked on the same boat for the first time, fishing in Bristol Bay, and they chronicled their experience on the water with their time in the mountains and how the ebb and the flow of these two pursuits work together in their new movie, All Aboard.

In their words:
All Aboard follows fifteen years of friendship of Zoë Vernon and Jacqui Shaffer. Over the last decade, they have utilized commercial fishing in order to pursue their passion for snowboarding.

All Aboard is filmed and edited by Andrew Burns and premieres in Bellingham, Washington on November 6, 2021 at the Kulshan Brewery. Stay tuned for the full video online after that. Supported by 686, Lib Tech, Boardworks Tech Shop, and Kulshan Brewery.
