Cue the inception horn.

As if the hype wasn’t enough trailer hype around “The Fourth Phase,” GoPro has decided to enter the fray with a trailer of their own. While the Red Bull trailers give the film its sense of grandeur, this provides a glimpse into some of the truly sketchy shit that Travis Rice, Eric Jackson, and crew found themselves in while chasing the hydrological cycle around the North Pacific.

“The Fourth Phase” will be premiering at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on September 8th, and there are still tickets available if you want to join. Expect an event to match the ambition of the film; it’s going to be a great night.

If you can’t make the world premiere, a film tour will follow, ending with the online premiere on October 2nd.

From GoPro:

From the creators of The Art of FLIGHT, Red Bull Media House presents The Fourth Phase, a snowboarding epic starring iconic athlete Travis Rice.

While exploring the untapped backcountry of his native Wyoming, Rice plots a 16,000 mile course to follow the hydrological cycle around the North Pacific, where snow and ice create dreamlike landscapes on the towering mountains above.

From the Japanese Alps to the volcanoes of Russia, and a spectacularly remote area of Alaska, Rice is joined by several of snowboarding’s most innovative riders including Mark Landvik, Eric Jackson, Bryan Iguchi, Pat Moore, Mikkel Bang, Jeremy Jones, Victor de Le Rue, Ben Ferguson, and more.

At its core, “The Fourth Phase” features incredible snowboarding, but also tells an emotional human story. Because GoPro cameras were utilized throughout the filming of the movie, GoPro will be releasing more content closer to the world premiere. This content will lend an insider perspective into Travis’ mind as he follows the North Pacific’s storm cycle to epic terrain.
