From the man himself:

I, Ralph Backstrom, had the pleasure of spending two months in Valdez, Alaska last winter filming with Teton Gravity Research for their film The Dream Factory. Snowboarding steep and deep pow [and capturing it on film] was the main focus of the trip, and helicopters, snowmobiles, and hiking were the means used to shred as much powder as possible. Shooting guns, snowmobile glacier travel, hiking spines, and winter camping seemed to take up the rest of the time.

This was shot exclusively on the GoPro Hero 2. I know the Hero 3 is all the rage these days, but the 2 is still a damn good camera! Some was shot in 1080/30fps, some in 720/60fps. The heli port time lapse was 1 shot/2 secs, and I did the pan in FCP. The winter camping lapse at the end was also a 2 sec interval, but the pan came by chance when I shot it, due to the snow around my mount melting.
