WTF.
Imagine being stuck in Sunday skier traffic on I-70 in a snowstorm. Then not one, but two avalanches come barreling down towards you.
Sounds like something out of a movie, or a worst case scenario, but it actually happened on Sunday, March 3rd on the I-70 corridor near Ten Mile Canyon.
Jacob Easton was heading eastbound when he captured the avalanche roaring down the mountain.
“All of a sudden, me and my dad just saw a big white cloud to the left of us and we instantly noticed the avalanche,” he told Denver’s FOX31.
See the slides in the news cast video above.

Thankfully and miraculously, no one was injured in the slides.
The CAIC said an avalanche warning was in effect through Monday morning “due to large amounts of snowfall and strong westerly winds.”
“Large avalanches can release naturally and run long distances,” the agency continued. “Dangerous human-triggered avalanches are very likely.”
With all of this snowfall and fluctuating temperatures, avalanche danger remains high. Please adhere to all cautions, and if traveling in the backcountry, as always, know before you go.
