For the great tour final of the 6th Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY hosted by Ride Snowboards 2018/2019, the best European up-and-coming snowboarding talents gathered at the Betterpark Hintertux on Hintertux Glacier on April 27th and 28th, 2019. The final snowboarding slopestyle contest of Zillertal´s most popular Snowboard Amateur Series 2018/2019 was not only about the day podiums, but also about the overall tour winners and crowning of the new Royal Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY family.

Around ninety snowboarders traveled from all over Europe to Hintertux Glacier for the great Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY finals. Beside the last tour points and medals for the day podiums, the overall tour winner´s crowns were up for grabs at the forth and last Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY tour stop in Tux-Finkenberg. Despite challenging conditions due to poor visibility and strong winds, riders were showing off, presenting their best tricks at the Betterpark Hintertux.

Nico Winkler from Austria turned out to be the hero of the day, taking home three victories in one go. Beside the first place in the Rookie Boys (16-18 years) category, he also won the gold medal in the open men´s class and on top of all this, Nico claimed the Billabong Best Trick Award with his nice Cab 720. Amber Fennell from Team GBR impressed the judges once again with her performance, winning the Super Grom Girls competition (under 13 years) and dominating the podium of the open ladies´ ranking as the best female rider of the contest. With all these results, Amber took first place in the overall tour ranking and claimed the crown as a new Queen of the VÄLLEY. Amber´s team mate Charlie Lane (GBR) could not be beaten in the Super Grom Boys contest. With his day win and after having collected three other gold medals during the season, Charlie claimed the title as King of the VÄLLEY.

With Niklas Huber and Mia Grempel, two Germans won Gold in the Groms category (13 to 15 years) at Hintertux Glacier. Niklas also got rewarded  „Most impressive Grom of the day.“ Finally it was Emma Lantos from Austria, who claimed the top spot on the Rookie Girls day podium and became new Queen of the VÄLLEY in the Rookie Girls and overall female categories.

As the new Kings and Queens of the VÄLLEY, the freshly crowned Royal Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY family got honoured with trophy money fame and glory. And the new Kings and Queens 2018/2019 are:

Sunday´s Coaching day was the perfect conclusion of an exciting Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY tour season. Hintertux Glacier welcomed all riders with fresh powder and wintery conditions. Everybody had fun at the coaching and Limbo RIDE fun sessions. To end the weekend in a great way, Tux-Finkenberg tourism offered free drinks for everyone at Tuxer Fernerhaus.

Sarah Moser from the department at Hintertuxer Gletscher is delighted about the successful tour finals: „It was a great pleasure to host the 6th edition of the Zillertal Välley Rälley at the Betterpark Hintertux. Despite challenging weather conditions,the riders were highly motivated. We are already looking forward to next year. “
