The Vitamin Water Am Throwdown kicked off today, Monday April 11, at Copper Mountain. The four two-man teams were flown to Colorado's Copper Mountain to film a 1:30 video edit over the course of five days.

The teams have until midnight on Friday, April 15 to submit their finished edit in which the winner will be decided by Snowboard Magazine staff. Stay tuned to the site for updates, photos, and interviews throughout the week.

The winner will be announced next week and will be awarded $5,000 cash.

Today might have been the best weather day of the entire week. It started out cold with roughly a fresh foot of snow up top. The sun moved in over the course of the day and making it a perfect bluebird day for filming.

Mark Kelsic's filmer, Ian Boll, and rider Sammy Spiteri both had blown knees and couldn't compete. So, we teamed up Mark Kelsic & Paul Heran and let them roam the mountain to film their part.
