Performance Review
First Impression. While this updated version features a brand-new outline shape, a redesigned core, and a fresh topsheet material, the overall soul that the Orca is famous for remains completely intact. It is very easy to turn and maneuver, with the central rocker section creating a perfect pivot point and hinge for flexing.
Edge Hold. Lib’s signature Magne-Traction edges are definitely noticeable, providing a reassuring extra bite on the firmer snow, though they track a bit more subtly in the soft afternoon slush. Combined with the board’s short-and-wide footprint, it gives you plenty of confidence to lay into carves.

Edge Transition. Because of the center-rocker design, the Orca 2 is incredibly nimble and quick to pivot directly underfoot. It requires very little effort to initiate a turn or weave through tight spaces.
Drive // Pop. While the Orca 2 handles carves beautifully and isn’t overly aggressive out of the turn apex. Finding the sweet spot to snap the short tail and get this board airborne required a slight adjustment though.
Nimbleness & Predictability. The board is incredibly easy to control and highly predictable all over the resort. Riding switch requires a slight mental adjustment due to the tapered tail. Thanks to the rocker between the feet, the board gives up a really nice, effortless press on boxes and flat-ground buttering.
Stability at Speed. The Orca 2 handles varying snow conditions quite well. Its longer nose works together with the camber zones underfoot to chew right through afternoon chop and smooth out the ride, giving the deck a pleasantly damp, vibration-free feel.
Fun Factor. The fun factor is above average. It hits a sweet spot of being capable without being demanding. While it feels a bit like a novelty in the park due to the long nose and short tail, it’s comfortable on jumps and feels solid in the air.
