First Impression. Straight off the lift, the Current was incredibly easy to ride. It strikes a rare balance of being high-performance yet instantly approachable, making it one of the most enjoyable Ride decks I’ve ever ridden.

Edge Hold. The camber design allows for an easy initial flex that deepens into a powerful hold allowing you to drive through turns without hesitation. Whether you’re on fresh corduroy or navigating through afternoon chop, the edge remains reliable and steady.

Edge Transition. The board is quick and responsive. It doesn’t feel catchy, but it responds precisely when you need to shift weight or change direction.

Drive // Pop. The board offers a “progressive” energy. It’s easy to flex initially, making it approachable, but the more you load up the tip and tail, the more power you get back.

Nimbleness & Predictability. The Current is remarkably nimble in tight situations. It tracks exceptionally well and is a blast on side hits. Its predictability is a standout trait—it behaves exactly as expected, whether you’re buttering on the flats or boosting off a natural feature.

Stability at Speed. It instills confidence on landings and remains composed even when the conditions get a bit variable. Sizing up would likely unlock even more “missile-like” stability for high-speed charging.

Fun Factor. It’s the kind of deck that encourages exploration—equally at home on groomers as it is in the park or pipe. It tracked straight on the walls of the pipe, released smoothly, and felt incredibly secure on landings.

Overall Impression The Ride Current is a versatile, powerful, and approachable all-mountain machine. It is quick and responsive without being punishing, making it a standout daily driver. It is comfortable and predictable switch—to the point where you forget it has any taper.

Who is this board for? Anyone wanting to explore the entire mountain and is looking for a fun but powerful ride. It’s a great fit for riders who value a board that is easy to engage but offers deep reserves of energy.
