First Impression. When mounting up the board for the first time, I could tell it had some spice and stiffness so I was excited to try it in Main Park on the larger jumps. It held up nicely and stomped all my landings thanks to its firm nature.

Edge Hold. The edge hold is functional and user-friendly. It provides enough security for general park laps, but not too aggressive where it overpowers the rider.

Edge Transition. The board carried a slightly stiffer flex torsionally so it held a nice edge and was fluid allowing for a cruisey ride.

Drive // Pop. The board spun well off the jump line and locked in nicely on the landings due to its overall stiffness. It felt confident on the take-offs and requires a little extra strength to load up the tail but snaps nicely after take off.

Stability at Speed. This is where the board shined. It mashes through slush and chop extremely well without being overly aggressive. It feels stable underfoot—likely due to the Titanal plates.

Fun Factor. I found the board most fun on the jumps which suprised me since Danimals is a more rail focused rider. Nevertheless, it was a blast in the Main Park big jump line.

Who is this board for? Upper-intermediate riders who want a reliable and stable board for jumps.

Overall Impression The Beatnik Danimals is a stiff and stable deck that performs great on jumps and is great at absorbing impact. The internal Titanal plates provide a solid foundation for landing jumps and dampening vibration especially in variable snow conditions.
