First Impression. The Stairmaster proved to be quite versatile across the entire mountain. Although it was tested specifically for the park, it handled variable snow conditions like a champ. On the way to and from the park laps, it had a really fun, “surfy” feel, but once you get it on a jump line, it behaves like a traditional camber board that does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

Edge Hold. For a twin-shaped board, it carves surprisingly well. It holds an edge even when making aggressive, deep turns. It provides a reliable connection to the snow that feels secure whether you are on a steep run or approaching a park feature.

Edge Transition. Transitions are smooth and intuitive. It manages to feel stable underfoot while remaining soft enough to stay fun and playful.

Drive // Pop. Super fun yet energetic. It features carbon boosters running lengthwise that provide a noticeable amount of added pop and power. It doesn’t just transition turns; it snaps out of them!

Nimbleness & Predictability. The Stairmaster is a very predictable ride. It behaves consistently in a variety of environments, from the steeps of Mammoth to the blue runs and park laps. The torsional stiffness is dialed in—it feels stable without being so rigid that it loses its freestyle soul.

Stability at Speed. It handles higher speeds and heavy landings with ease, ensuring you don’t wash out when the stakes are higher.

Fun Factor. The “surfy” personality on the groomers combined with the traditional camber pop in the park makes for a high fun factor. It’s an energetic ride that encourages you to treat the whole mountain like a playground.

Overall Impression The Stairmaster is a versatile freestyle deck that combines a playful, surfy feel with high-performance. It’s stable, poppy, and reliable.

Who is this board for? An intermediate to advanced rider who wants to focus on the park but needs a board that can handle the rest of the mountain.
